About online grammar

Practical grammar for study and business

Online grammar was developed by Mary Morel, The M Factor Pty Ltd, based on her experiences as a teacher and business writing facilitator in the corporate world. Although Mary studied grammar at university, her knowledge has been deepened from answering hundreds of questions in her e-newsletter (subscribe in sidebar). Some of the questions have made her rethink her approach to grammar and punctuation.

Mary was a freelance writer and editor for many years, but now specialises in developing online writing courses and working with companies to improve the quality of their board papers. You can read about her board paper work at http://writetogovern.com.au.

Her qualifications include:

• BA in English and History
• COP paper on grammar, discourse analysis and sociolinguistics
• Diploma of Social Work
• Diploma of Teaching (secondary school)
• GAICD (graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors’ course)
