Reader’s question: Are there any rules around where to place enough?
Answer: Place the adverb enough after an adjective or adverb, but before a noun.
Margaret isn’t well enough to attend.
The restaurant didn’t have enough staff.
When enough comes before a noun it is usually followed by the infinitive (to + verb), but an alternative construction using that is on the rise, particularly in American English.
They have enough money to last until payday.
I have enough money that will last until payday.
