For ESL

For non-native English speakers, English verb tenses, determiners (the, a, an) and prepositions (to, in, at) can be difficult to understand. For instance, the preposition up has many different meanings. To give just a few: up a ladder, up to no good, dig up potatoes.

A native English speaker will often have difficulty explaining why we use different tenses or prepositions, saying ‘it’s just the way we say it’, but with our online ESL Grammar program, Grammar Basics, we explain the reasons.

This online ESL grammar course focuses on these three troublesome areas: verb tenses, determiners and prepositions.
