around
Around means on all sides (trees around the field), in a circle (spin around, belt around her waist) or approximately (around $500, woke around dawn).
round
Australian and New Zealand English use round as an adjective (round face), a verb (he rounded the bend) and a noun (she completed the round).
I think American English uses round the way Australian and New Zealand English use around.
